On Music Videos and Iconicity

Here is an article I wrote about how iconicity works in music videos. My main example is the music video for M.I.A.'s song Paper Planes. The text was presented at a conference about iconicity in language and media, at Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden, in June 2011.
